One day the wind said to the sun,“Look at that man walking along the road.I can get his cloak off more quickly than you can.”

“We will see about that,” said the sun.“I will let you try first.”

So the wind tried to make the man take off his blew and blew,but the man only pulled his cloak more closely around himself.

“I give up,” said the wind at last.“I cannot get his cloak off.” Then the sun shone as hard as he man soon became hot and took off his cloak.

Wings

The fried-chicken restaurant where I was working had a big rush just before closing one day,leaving us with nothing to sell but I was about to lock the doors,aa quietly intoxicated customer came in and ordered I asked if wings would be all right,he leaned over the counter and replied,"Lady,I came in here to eat,not fly."

有個小男孩頭戴球帽,手拿球棒和棒球,全副武裝地到自家後院.

“我是世界上最偉大的.打擊手,”他自信滿滿.把球往空中一扔,用力揮棒,但卻沒有打中.

他毫不氣餒,又往空中一扔,大喊一聲：“我是最厲害的打擊手.”

他再次揮棒,可惜又落空了.

他楞了半晌,仔仔細細地將球棒和棒球檢查了一番.

他站了起來,又試了一次,這次他仍告訴自己：“我是最傑出的打擊手.”

然而他第三次嘗試又落空.

“哇!”他突然跳了起來,“原來我是第一流的投手!”

A little boy wears a cap,and holding a bat and a baseball,standing in his yard."I'm the greatest batter in the world!"he is full of throws the ball to the sky,and swings the bat,but he doesn't hit the he doesn't lose his heart,he does it again,and shouts:"I'm the greatest batter!"But he doesn't hit the ball this time, checks the ball and the bat carefully,and then stands up,tries time he still tells himself:"I'm the greatest batter!"However,he loses again.

"Wow!"he suddenly jumps up,"Actually,I'm the best pitcher!"

課堂上,老師問：“這裏有兩隻鳥,一隻是燕子,一隻是麻雀.誰能指出它們分別是哪隻?”一個學生説：“我指不出,但我知道答案.”老師很驚訝：“請告訴我們.”學生回答：“燕子在麻雀旁邊,而麻雀在燕子旁邊.”

Two Birds

In the class,the teacher asks:"Here are two birds,one is a swallow,the other is who can tell us which is which?"

A student says:"I cannot point out but I know the answer."

The teacher is suprised:"Please tell us."

The student answers:"The swallow is beside the sparrow and the sparrow is beside the swallow."
