有人説她是掃帚星。
jinx 通常指不吉利的人或物。其實“掃帚星”指的是“彗星”。在英語中沒有對應的比喻義的翻譯，不能譯為“comet”，應該是jinx。
例如：I've heard of her. She's said to be a jinx, who would bring bad luck to whoever she marries.
我聽説過她，有人説她是個掃帚星，誰跟她結婚都會倒黴。

他真的是個聚會狂。
party animal指的是特別喜歡參加聚會的人，也就是聚會狂，他們哪怕一次聚會也不會落下。要注意，這裏animal説的可是人哦，並不是把人貶低成了動物。
如：I'd love to invite that party animal to the party. He'd liven up the mood!
我很喜歡邀請那個派對狂來參加我們的派對。他能使整個氣氛熱烈起來。

Wet behind the ears如果直譯: 耳朵背後是潮的。它可能來自這樣的説法: 小馬、小牛剛生下來的時候全身濕漉漉的;別的'地方很快會幹，但是耳朵背後卻還是濕的。所以説某人耳朵背後是潮的，是把這人比作剛生下不久的嬰兒了。換句話説就是他簡直像新生兒一般幼稚無知。
如：He was too wet behind the ears to bear such responsibilities.
他太年輕了，不能擔此重任。

natural 天生的;本能的;與生俱來的
如：Remember that these weaknesses are natural.

如： I wouldn't like to have anything to do with a law-down dirty shame like her.

good-time charlie 漢語中“樂天派”可以用optimistic來表示，也可以用good-humored。但是上述表達法缺乏口語色彩，而用good-time Charlie比較合適。
