一:教材處理的實踐思索之路:

《牛津高中英語》的編寫是以話題為中心。Welcome to the unit,激活話題。Reading,開啟閲讀素材,感受真實優美地道的英語;Word power 和Grammar 板塊也都是在單元話題統領下,或者引入新的素材,或者利用Reading 中素材提煉,帶領學生在新的任務中感悟體驗學習,形成外語思維的能力。Task 板塊的設計,要求學生綜合運用所學的語言知識和語言技能,在聽説讀寫一系列活動中,獲取信息、處理信息,完成特定任務,在使用過程中學習英語。 Project 是課堂教學的延伸與拓展,屬於探究式學習,意圖通過討論,調查、專訪、文獻檢索的活動,完成特定話題。最後還附有Self-assessment 板塊,引導學生自我評價。

譯林《牛津高中英語》最早是2004年在江蘇地區使用,中間有過增加修改,只是微調。到現在2017年,歷經13年。教材編寫的思路,仍然是很有價值的。經典的文章在不斷的學習中,教師也一直在探討實踐中發展改進。但是素材,與現在學生接觸的生活是有脱節的。以模塊7第一單元Wordpower 為例,所學內容還是介紹美國的智能手機,而現在,中國是非常普遍的。在家電應用區,介紹的是電飯鍋、微波爐,而學生現在更感興趣的應該是智能型機器人。

實際考試的能力要求,也要求教師在使用教材中靈活處理,刪、替、補、改。以2017年江蘇卷為例,閲讀理解考察素材來源是2017年5月份的美國科學人和經濟學人的報道,話題為鳥的胎教和數據時代的信息壟斷,這些都迫切要求教師及時加入最新的素材,補充更換,保證學習材料的鮮活性。語篇類型的考察要求,老師及時增添各類語篇。核心素養中的語言能力,增加了一個看,看視頻ted以及圖表,在教學中的體現最終也需要教師及時增添替換新的教學材料。

二 教材素材整合的來源

多模態--------VOA, BBC, TED, 影視歌曲等

三 教材是課程教學資源的核心內容,為教學目標的解讀與設置提供語料的基礎。教材中每一個文本提供的僅是一個範例,課堂教學絕不是一個範例的簡單重現式講解。教師應該依據教材特點、學生特點、教學目標綜合考慮,進行實踐研究。

1 以單元話題為中心的材料整合

案例一:牛津高中英語M2U3 Amazing people

單元教學目標:

In this unit, you will

read an article about a famous explorer(reading材料) and an article about a Chinese astronaut(project材料).

listen to a headmaster talking about requirements for a speaker(task)

talk about famous people and unknown places and introduce a person(task素材)

write a biographical article (task 素材)

Interview an expert(project)

分析: Reading 話題:木乃伊的詛咒------探險家的故事

Project 話題:楊利偉的採訪

Task 話題: 一位美國科學家與深山大猩猩的傳記

處理過程:保留reading, project

Task只保留自傳那篇文章素材,保留自傳寫法,其他刪除

增加拓展閲讀,小嶽嶽和楊洋的報道,以讀寫替代TASK的聽説任務

除採訪專家後續練習,再增加原創小嶽嶽和楊洋的簡歷學習、詞彙學習、語法填空、寫作句型積累。目的在於,給學生平日自學閲讀以抓手

單元目標重新設定:How to introduce an amazing person? 引導學生通過,讀寫、自傳詞彙練、語法填空練、寫作句型積累、彙報採訪等多種形式,完成語言知識到語言技能的轉變。最後,提煉出,amazing people 的.相同特點和不同故事,完成單元學習。

整合原因:1. 學生的英語基礎弱,聽讀記錄,是完成不了的。

2. 科學家探險家宇航員雖然能激勵學生文化價值的建構,但是材料與學生有時代的脱節。引入岳雲鵬、楊洋,學生感興趣的話題,挖掘偶像背後的優良品質,也實現了正確價值引導。屠呦呦,霍金也是更好的選擇。

效果:鮮活貼近學生生活的素材,點燃了學生學習的熱情。他們更投入的完成readingproject的讀寫採訪任務。在岳雲鵬和楊洋的新素材中,把單元所學運用到位。最後,學生自發閲讀,讀到三生三世十里桃花、楚喬傳的英文版時,自動筆記整理,發給我看。我想,由領學、導學到自學,意義達到了。

分析:第一句我們可以看成主題句,While 表達轉折,欲揚先抑,提出重點他的堅持為他贏得成功。第二句到第四句,分別使用,later, gradually, not only進行銜接過渡,句式拓展,具體解釋,堅持所帶來的成功。我們在閲讀文章時,可以嘗試,按照話題邏輯,規律性歸納摘抄。
