1. be in tears 含淚，淚流滿面
Most of us were in tears by the time he’d finished his story.
他講完故事時，我們大多數人都已淚流滿面。
2. have tears in one’s eyes 眼裏含着淚水
Jane turned to me with tears in her eyes, and Begged me to help her.
簡眼裏含着淚水轉我, 懇求我幫幫她。
3. burst into tears 放聲大哭，突然哭起來
Laura burst into tears and ran out of the room.

1、reduce somebody to tears 使某人不禁流淚
He nagged and complained, and reduced Louise to tears.

2、somebody’s eyes water（風、煙霧等） 使眼睛淌眼淚
Joe’s eyes were watering from the smoke that filled the room.

3、cry one’s eyes out（口語）痛哭流涕，哭得很傷心
Cecil came round later, crying his eyes out, asking me to forgive him.

Crackdown：嚴打，鎮壓

數百萬考生在為即將到來的大學聯考進行最後的衝刺
last-minute cramming：指的是考生在上考試前最後的衝刺，cramming一般用來形容死記硬背、填鴨式的教學。

實用口語練習:不只是裸露這麼簡單
bare：做形容詞時，意為空的，裸露的，僅有的，稀少的。做動詞時意為裸露，露出。
跟bare相關的習語又有哪些呢？
-bones：梗概，本質。
例句：This one is the bare-bones model. It has no accessories at all.
這是最基本的模型。沒有其他的附件。
one’s head：脱帽致敬。
例句：Bare your head when the flag is raised.當旗子升起時請脱帽致敬。
the soul：訴衷腸。
例句：Mary bared her soul to Jane and Jane told Mary her problems also.瑪麗和簡互訴衷腸。
bare hands：赤手空拳，空手的。
例句：I beat him with my bare hands。我赤手空拳地打了他。
bare-hand：徒手。
Wu Juping caught the baby “bare-handed,” but also broke her arm in the process.

1. Give me five!
He always gives me a high-five when I win the game.

After the baseball game, high-fives were given all around.

2. fiver
英語中，以-er結尾的單詞通常是指人的，那麼 fiver 是指五個人嗎？不是，這個詞可是跟錢有關的：對於英國人來説，“五英鎊”偷懶的講法，就是這個詞；自然，對於美國人來説，這個詞也就是指五美元囉！例如：
