對愛抬扛説的話
蘇軾：字子瞻，號東坡居士，北宋著名的大文學家。他與佛印是好朋友，而且倆人常在抬扛中增深感情。一次，他們同遊寺院，見到門口有兩個面目猙獰的金剛塑像，東坡問佛印：“這兩個金剛哪個會更厲害呢?”佛印想都沒想，隨口答道：“肯定是那個拳頭大的。”走進內殿，兩人看到手拿念珠的觀音菩薩，東坡又問：“菩薩神通廣大，她數手裏的念珠做什麼?”佛印説：“觀音菩薩也像普通人一樣在求佛埃”東坡追問：“她本身就是了，還求哪個佛啊?”答曰：“求自己埃”東坡不明白：“這就奇怪了，求佛哪有求自己這回事兒?”佛印面露得意之色：“你不知道求人不如求己?”是的，不論什麼時候，靠天就不如靠自己啊!
又一次，東坡對佛印説：“我突然有個特別發現，古代詩人常將‘僧’與‘鳥’在詩中相對，舉例説吧，你看：‘時聞啄木鳥，疑是叩門僧。’還有：‘鳥宿池邊樹，僧敲月下門。’我真佩服古人以‘僧’對‘鳥’的聰明。”佛印一本正經地説：“是啊，東坡，這也正是為什麼我跟你經常相對而坐的理由了。”在大家們調侃之際，也同樣增長我們的知識啊!
還有一次，東坡與佛印乘船遊玩，佛印突然將手中提有東坡詩詞的扇子扔到水中，朗聲笑道：“水流東坡詩(屍)!”蘇軾被佛印這一鬧，瞬間愣了一下，但很快緩過神來，指着河岸上正在啃骨頭的一隻狗，搖頭晃腦吟道：“狗啃河上(和尚)骨!”他們的機智詼諧值得我們去學習!
以上我們可以看出佛家僧人從抬槓中能得到極大樂趣。東坡是儒生中的真正智者。由此看來，抬槓這遊戲若想做出快樂，最好在聰明人之間進行，常人之間的抬槓往往流於互相蠻不講理，沒有任何趣味可言。

如有一人堅持不住中途放下槓子，這三十二槓的櫺轎就會全部趴架。“抬槓”本是美差，不但有美餐還有小費，所以“抬槓”的人各個堅守崗位。“抬槓”一詞就源於此處，後來，老北京人就把爭論不休的人稱之為“抬槓”。而“抬死槓”、“死抬槓” 的拌嘴人，的確誰也不肯放棄自己的崗位。現在，北京城裏早就沒有“棚鋪”這個行業了，但“抬槓”的人還是到處都有。
