今天是我升S4的第二節課了，我很開心。

上午老師帶領我們學習了Readers 3的第三節和Activitirs的第三課。因為老師講課的時候，就好象在講故事一樣，所以每一個同學都聚精會神的聽講，根本沒有竊竊私語的。老師先給我們用英語唸了課文和單詞，然後，挨個句子給我們解釋漢語意思，最後再教我們背句型。大家都自然而然的輕鬆背了下來，我只用了兩分鐘就背了下來。

今天我們不但學習了Readers 3和Activitirs 3而且下午還學習了Readers 4、Activitirs 4、EEC8的知識。

下午，首先學習了四個單詞：movies、 post office 、supermarkrt、 book shop。我用很短的時間就熟練的記住了它們。這時候，老師下令我們看書，説等會考抽寫。我天真的'認為只寫這四個單詞，所以根本沒當回事，大家都在看書的時候，我又出小差，神遊了一會。只到考試前一分鐘，我才從大家看的時間醒悟過來，原來要抽全部的啊？我急三火四的找書，但是已經來不及了……收捲了，我拿出書本憑印象對照了一下，還好，我全對了！以後一定注意，好好看書，好好聽講。

真盼望下一個週日快點到，我喜歡去育博學英語。

I'm a middle school student. I have many subjects at school, such as English, Chinese, math, history, art and P.E. English is my favourite subject, because it's so interesting and useful.

I get up early and I'm never late for school. Every day we have classes, play basketball and play football. Sometimes we play games in class.

I love my school life.

Hemingway often thought of courage as a person＇s ability to be calm and controlled in the face of death. His theme is presented in his novel "For Whom the Bell Tolls?" the story "The Old Man and the Sea" and in our textbook "A Day＇s Wait". By misunderstanding a different thermometer the boy thought he was running a high fever and would soon die. But he took his death bravely and waited quietly for it. The boy showed us he had courage.

I think such a definition of courage is far from enough. Courage should not be limited and related only to death. In ordinary life there are common things that also show a person＇s courage. For example, on a bus trip, a thief was trying to steal a girl＇s purse. Some people saw it, but kept quiet. They were afraid to be revenged by the thief. The brave stood out and stopped the thief.

Courage means truth and justice to me. The person in a high position often hear songs in praise of him. Some people are sincere. Some are only flattering the superior in their own favor. The leader also needs courage to welcome criticism as well as those who have the courage to criticize him. Such courage may come from mutual understanding. I think a man of courage will value truth and justice, and not hesitate in his actions to do what he thinks is right, There is no such word as fear in his dictionary.

海明威總是以為勇氣就是面對死亡沉着鎮靜，他的這一主題思想體現在他的小説《喪鐘為誰而鳴?》、《老人與海》以及課本里《一天的等待》中。孩子由於對温度計的誤解，以為自己已輕發高燒並即將死去，而勇敢、鎮靜地等待死亡的來臨。此時，這孩子表現出勇氣。

我認為給勇氣下這樣的定義遠遠不夠。勇氣並不僅限於死亡或有關死亡的事。在日常生活中，從一些凡人小事中也可看出一個人的勇氣。比如，在公共汽車上，當小偷在偷一個女孩子的錢包時，有的人看了一聲不吭，怕賊報復，而勇敢者卻挺身而出，抓住小偷。

在我看來，勇氣就是豎持真理和正義。一個地位高的人聽到的往往是讚歌，有些人是出於真誠，而有些人卻是為己之私而迎合上司的。正如批評別人的人需要勇氣一樣，領導者也要有勇氣接受人家的批評。這種勇氣來自相互理解。我想，一個有勇氣的人將維繫真理與正義，他會毫猶豫地去做自己認為正確的事，在勇取者的字典中，沒有害怕這個字眼。

Karaoke is a welcome and popular source of entertainment。 People all over the world are familiar with it。 It enjoys popularity in get together (聚會) and evening gala(聯歡晚會)。 Common folks (平民百姓) can simply sit in the living room and sing songs that best suit their tastes。 Thus it enriches people's lives in a simple but creative way。
