I love learning foreign languages. Especially English because English is the most widely spoken language in the world, it is used by countries all over the world. For example, if you want to find a nice job, you probably need to be good at English, and when you surf on the Internet, you'll see many dialogues and keywords in English. If you don't know them, then you'll have to spend a lot of time looking them up in an English dictionary. Therefore we must try harder to learn English and improve our English, and we could learn more besides.

在國小階段，教英語作文是一件很令人頭疼的事。學生們單詞量少，語法知識貧乏，硬讓學生強寫，是錯誤百出，甚至還有很多的中式英語，鬧出不少笑話。我分以下四個步驟來教作文，目前感覺效果不錯。

第一、仿寫句子。就是將句子中的關鍵詞用其它同類的單詞來代替。

第二、翻譯句子。將中文句子翻譯成相對應的英文句子。這是用來鍛鍊學生的表達能力的。

第三、仿寫課文。這裏的課文包括簡單的對話、段落和短文。這實際也是仿寫句子的一種延伸。也是替換課文中的關鍵詞，讓它再另外自成一篇。我現在教的一些中等水平的學生都基本能很好地仿寫課文，有時還能有讓人驚喜的創新。

最後，讓能力較好的學生試着寫命題作文。

在教英語作文時，切忌急於求成，要由簡到難，循序漸進，一步一步地走。如果，一上手就讓學生寫命題作文，他們就會望而生畏，卻步不前，不知道從哪裏下手。

一、活動宗旨

英語寫作水平是學生英語綜合運用能力的集中體現，在中大學聯考中佔有十分重要的地位。為了提高全體學生對英語寫作的認識與興趣，為學有所長者提供展示才能的機會，為參加各層次的英語能力比賽選拔人才，為教師加強個別輔導和提高教學成績創造機會，落實並彰顯我校第二課堂活動特色，特舉辦我校第四屆學生英語作文比賽。

二、參與對象

本校全體初、高中學生。

三、比賽規則

1、活動本着“自由思想，明白表達，獨立完成”的原則。各年級老師針對本年級學生實際情況確定寫作主題或體裁，要求內容健康，積極向上，寫出自己的真情實感。

2、每人在規定期間內現場完成一篇全英文寫作，要求作品必須原創，杜絕抄襲，字數不少於150字（國中組）或300字（高中組）。

四、獎勵方法

1、本次活動要求各班學生人人蔘與，之後每班選拔5名優秀選手代表班級參加現場作文比賽，由年級統一評比，設獎比率為一等獎20%， 二等獎20%，三等獎20%，優秀獎若干名。

2、本次比賽活動由新世界康橋贊助，提供技術指導與獎狀獎品。屆時將在學校報告廳舉行金岸中學第四屆“康橋杯”英語作文大賽頒獎典禮暨英語沙龍。

3、組織部分優秀學生作品代表學校參加“第九屆奧林匹克杯全國英語作文大賽”。獲獎學生及指導老師均會獲得相關榮譽獎勵。

五、日程安排：

1、20xx年3月26日（第七週星期三）各班動員學生積極參加第四屆“康橋杯”英語作文大賽，並組織學生參加班級的英語寫作選拔賽，以確定代表班級參加學校第四屆英語作文現場比賽的選手名單。

2、20xx年4月2日（第八週星期三）每班選派5人於下午5:10---6:00在報告廳參加現場英語寫作比賽，由科組統一裝訂後分發年級老師交叉評分（採用二評，國中15分制，高中25分制）。

3、4月9日（第九周星期三）各年級組統計比賽成績，確定獲獎等次，並將作文及名單彙總於科組整理備獎。

4、4月25日下午5:10（第十一週星期五第八節課）在報告廳舉行頒獎典禮暨英語沙龍活動。

5、4月30日（第十二週星期三）按第九屆奧林匹克杯全國英語作文大賽要求上交參賽作品並郵寄（電子版）。

附：20xx學年全校各年級參賽名額分配如下：

1、第七屆國際英語電視大賽：七年級20人；高一6人

2、20xx國際英語精英賽：八年級18人；高二6人

3、第九屆奧林匹克杯全國英語作文大賽：九年級18人；高三12人

Not long ago, a deputy to the People’s Congress put forward an idea that anyone who abandoned pets should be condemned. A lot of people clap for her suggestion, because they take pets as one of the family members, but for some cold people, they don’t give concern and love to the animals, and they kill or abandon animals at their wills, which causes the public’s anger. Animals have their lives and should be respected. They and human beings are part of nature. We live and die together, so it is our duty to protect animals. We need to create a harmonious society.

One day, when I went home after school, I found there was no one at home, so I felt bored. I suddenly thought about the toy I wanted to buy last time, but my mother stopped me, she said I had bought so many toys, I still wanted to buy.
