　　名詞

英語中的物質名詞和抽象名詞是不可數名詞，它們沒有複數形式。

一般規則名詞加“s”或“es”等構成複數形式(如：desks)，英語中也存在大量不規則名詞，它們的複數屬於不規則變化範圍。如：man-men，foot-feet.

有些以“-ics”結尾的表示學科名稱的名詞，雖以s結尾，但仍是單數。如：physics。

有些集合名詞指整體概念時，為單數;指個體時是複數概念。

合成名詞變複數時，一般是將主體名詞變為複數;如果沒有主體名詞，則在合成名詞後加“s”。

表示無生命名詞的所有關係，用“of+名詞”短語，放在名詞後作定語，表示所屬關係。
