　　1. 表示“那樣的”“這樣的”，與 no, any, some, all, few, many, each, every, several, other, another, one, two 等詞語連用，應置於其後，但是與不定冠詞連用時，要置於其前。如：

All such books are useful. 這些書都很有用。

There’s no such thing as ghosts. 沒有鬼這樣的東西。

One such dictionary is enough. 這樣的詞典一本就夠了。

There had been many such occasions. 曾有許多這種情況。

注意，受no such修飾的名詞無需再用冠詞：

　　2. 在“such+名詞”之前，可用 some, all, many等修飾，但通常不用 some of, many of, all of 等修飾。如：

(1) such…as中的as是關係代詞，用以引導定語從句，在句中充當主語或賓語等，而 such…that 中的that只起引導詞的作用，用以引導結果狀語。如：

正：I’ve never heard such stories as he tells.

誤：I’ve never heard such stories that he tells.

這石頭那麼重，我搬不動。

正：It’s such a heavy stone that I can’t move it.

誤：It’s such a heavy stone as I can’t move it.()

比較兩句：

He is such a good teacher as we all respect. 他是一位我們大家都尊敬的好老師。(as引導的是定語從句，as 在該定語從句用作 respect 的賓語)

He is such a good teacher that we all respect him. 他是那樣一位好老師，以至於我們大家都尊敬他。(that 引導的是結果狀語從句，that 在該狀語從句中不充當句子成分，另外注意句中的 respect 帶有賓語 him)
