英語學習—句型—陳述句

1.陳述句的定義

陳述句主要是用來傳遞信息，提供情況（包括肯定和否定的情況）。

China is the largest country in Asia. 中國是亞洲最大的國家。

I didn't tell him anything. 我什麼也沒有告訴他。

2.肯定和否定的陳述句

I'm going to see a film. 我打算去看電影。

I'm not going to see a film. 我不打算去看電影。

She has arrived. 她已經到達。

She hasn't arrived yet. 她還沒有到達。

3.其他否定的陳述句

一、對謂語動詞否定

否定詞除了not之外，還有never, hardly, scarcely, seldom, rarely。

He never smokes cigarette. 他從不抽煙。

I hardly know the people there. 我幾乎不認識那裏的人。

She scarcely spoke to him. 她很少跟他交談。

二、對名詞或代詞否定

No students will take the course. 沒有學生會選修這門課。

Nobody will agree to this project. 沒有人會同意這項計劃。

I can do nothing about it. 對這事我無能為力。

4.委婉陳述

人們在陳述事實的時候，為了禮貌或者為了在説話時留有餘地，常常在説話時採用委婉陳述方式。

一、採用插入語來軟化陳述句的`口氣

That will be, I think, too much for him. 我想那會使他受不了的。

You'll be caught in the rain, I'm afraid. 恐怕你們會淋雨。

I'll have another cup, if you please. 我想再來一杯，好嗎？

If you don't mind, I'd like to think about it for a minute.

如果你不介意的話，容我考慮一下。

二、採用情態動詞或半助動詞來軟化口氣

He might be right. 他也許是對的。

She seems to be unhappy. 她似乎不快活。

He appears to have many friends here. 看來，他在這兒有許多朋友。
