but then we hit the 20th century and we entered a new culture that historians call the culture of personality. what happened is we had evolved an agricultural economy to a world of big business. and so suddenly people are moving from small towns to the cities. and instead of working alongside people they've known all their lives, now they are having to prove themselves in a crowd of strangers. so, quite understandably, qualities like magnetism and charisma suddenly come to seem really important. and sure enough, the self-help books change to meet these new needs and they start to have names like “how to win friends and influence people.“ and they feature as their role models really great salesmen. so that's the world we're living in today. that's our cultural inheritance.

首先感謝各位領導老師對我的信任和支持，給我這個機會參加競聘演講。

20xx年我畢業於北華大學外語學院師範英語專業，四年的大學學習讓我掌握了紮實的語言功底。作為年輕教師，我從不敢懈怠，堅持利用業餘時間學習，提高自身業務水平。通過一年的教學工作，我的教學業務水平得到了很大的提升。今天，我競聘的是高二年級理科英語教師，之所以競聘這個崗位，基於以下三點原因：

一瞭解並熱愛我的學生這一屆高一學生從入學開始就擔任一二班的英語教學工作。在一年的教學實踐中，我揣摩着，嘗試着，與他們真誠溝通交流着，已經非常熟悉每個學生的性格特點和學習現狀，這為教學工作的進一步開展，奠定了堅實的基礎。

二我有紮實的專業知識我深知英語學科在學校基本學科教學中的地位和作用，明確英語教師的職責和任務，也明白英語教師所應必備的素質和要求，所以，自工作以來，我始終不忘學習，勤鑽研，善思考，多研究，不斷豐富提高自己。

三我有較好的年齡優勢我正當青春年華，精力旺盛，敬業精神高，能夠全身心地投入到自己熱愛的教學工作中去。這一點也深受學生喜愛。

為了趕上課改的步伐，我利用課餘時間學習了《英語課程標準》，深入瞭解它的基本理念。其中強調教學要面向全體學生，注重素質教育，特別強調要關注每個學生的情感，激發他們的興趣，幫助他們建立學習的成就感和自信心。所以在教學中，我始終以學生為中心，發揮他們的主體作用，採用以學生為中心的教學思路，充分考慮學生的現有基礎，興趣愛好，學習風格等差異。讓學生體驗和積極參與，建構知識，形成積極的態度，促進語言實際運用能力的提高。

假如我能夠通過競爭上崗，我打算從以下幾個方面改進自己的教學工作，提高自己的教學水平。

一更加科學規範的做好日常教學工作，根據實際情況，在順應課改潮流的前提下，認真落實各項教學常規工作，確保教學質量穩中有升。

二加強個人修養，練好基本功。進一步樹立自己強烈的事業心和責任感，加強自己的工作能力，努力調動學生的學習積極性，提高教學質量，力爭在教學中體現實力，在工組中保持動力，在創新中增加壓力，在與學生同事的交往中體現凝聚力。

三針對我校學生實際，分析學情，尤其對英語學困生分析了成因：

1對英語不感興趣2錯誤歸因：一些學生在英語學習過程中遇到困難或失敗時，錯誤地把原因歸結於自己的能力，認為自己不是學習英語的材料，因此放棄嘗試和應有的努力，聽之任之。3元認知欠缺：有的學生學習無目標，隨意性大；課上被動地聽課，等待老師佈置作業；遇到問題時，不懂採用任何補救措施，這些都是元認知的表現，也是造成學業不良的重要原因。

轉化學困生的具體措施：

1.培養興趣，正面激勵

困擾英語學困生的最根本原因是興趣和信心的'問題。所以，我們在轉化英語學困生的時侯，關鍵要找到他的興趣點，激發他的興趣，使他具有學習英語的內在動力。

2.確立目標，激發動機

指導學生根據自己的學習基礎和認知水平確立學期目標。這個目標不能定的太高，必須是經過努力可以達到的，並使他們認識到這個目標的最終實現需要以完成每天的學習任務為基礎。這些短期目標是學困生日常學習的動力，可以防止他們三天打魚兩天曬網。

3.指導策略，樹立信心

有計劃按步驟的指導他們學習運用合適的學習策略，提高英語學習效率。

記單詞是學困生的最大困難，訓練他們的單詞記憶策略。如

（1）拼讀策略。多數學困生習慣用機械重複的方法記單詞，這種方法費時低效。英語單詞有90％是符合讀音規則的，根據讀音去記單詞，可以提高效率。

（2）分類組織策略。根據單詞的音形方面的特徵進行歸類記憶。如同音異義詞。

（3）詞綴策略。滲透英語單詞常見的前綴後綴。

希望通過以上措施能夠轉化學困生，提高他們的學習成績。

除此之外，我競聘的是班主任。我深知，班主任是班集體的靈魂所在。……

最後，在以後的教學工作中，我會嚴於律己，夯實基礎，鑽研業務，團結協作，虛心向老教師請教，與時俱進，把服務學生服務老師的工作做好，我有信心決心搞好英語教學工作，為東光的明天貢獻自己的綿薄之力。
