我對京劇感興趣都是受了爺爺奶奶的影響。他們酷愛京劇，只要電視裏有京劇節目，如《九州戲苑》之類的，他們總是要看的。久而久之，我也受到感染。我發現，京劇中有許多傳統文化的精華。

My interest in Peking Opera is influenced by my grandparents. They love Peking Opera very much. As long as there are Peking Opera programs on TV, such as Kyushu opera garden, they always want to watch them. Over time, I was also infected. I find that Peking Opera has many traditional cultures.

可説實在的，我對京劇知之甚少，只知道京劇講究的是“唱唸做打”，只知道京劇分為“生旦淨末醜”五個行當。我常常把“正旦”和“花旦”混為一談，甚至有時統稱她們為“小旦”。完整的戲我只看過三部：《秦香蓮》、《九江口》、《九道本》。現在文藝節目或是綜藝晚會中所演出的`京劇，大多是名劇名段，像這樣的小段落我倒是看了不少。比較喜歡的是《鎖麟囊》中“春秋亭外”一段，《徐策跑城》中“湛湛青天”一段，《玉堂春》中“蘇三離了洪洞縣”一段。

有人認為京劇節奏慢，聽着不耐煩。其實不然，京劇節奏感強，速度有快有慢，但這都是根據劇情而定的。快，快得讓你聽都來不及聽，還沒弄明白是什麼意思，它已經唱過去了。像《秦香蓮》中“駙馬爺近前看端詳”一段，速度多快啊！如果電視機屏幕上不打字幕的話，那是根本聽不清的。為什麼這樣快呢？就是為了表達包公憤怒的感情和急於讓陳世美認下秦香蓮的迫切心情。慢，慢得能一個字拖半分鐘的音。像《貴妃醉酒》中楊貴妃的唱詞多慢啊，這是為了體現楊貴妃那雍容華貴的氣質和失落的心情。
