Dear Mrs/Madam,

England is a very beautiful place with most hospitable people. Furtunately that I, a Chinese students majoring in English at Peking University, will pay a visit at London for several days.

During my stay at London, I am going to take a look at some of the most famous cultural relics such as London Bridge. Furthermore, since my major is English that I am in the great hope of the access to the facilities to your liberay, a well-stocked one I heard in whole England. With the help of London University liberary, I belive, my English study will be improve to a new level and my research will also be pushed forwards greatly.

Therefore, I urgently request that I should be granted with a valuable opportunity to use the facilities at liberay. If I was granted such a honor, I would make full use the chance to do my research. Mrs Wang decided to make a trip to she told her son about her decision,he was so overjoyed that he jumped began to pack their the day came,the son became worried,for noboday would take care of his would die if they were not enly a good idea came to his mind. "Mum",he said to his mother, "we can use a piece of cloth to take care of the flowers". He showed her mother what he meant by putting one end of the cloth into the basin, full of water,and the other end into the flower pot.

Three days later,when they came back from Beijing, the flowers were still alive and even started to bloom.

Different Opinions on Homework

The conflict over what or how much homework should be comes partly from the fact that people can‘t seem to agree on the purpose of homework.

What do teachers think? Some teachers think that homework is necessary to reinforce what is learned in school. And so they ask their students to memorize what was discussed in class through homework. Some teachers think the point of homework is to cover material that the class didn‘t

have time to get to, so their homework is to let students learn additional things. Other teachers like homework simply because they want students to form work habits and still others believe homework is necessary because it is the best way for parents to learn what their children do in school.

Parent‘s opinions? But many parents seem to have different ideas. Elissa Cohen, who has twins at Lafayette Elementary School, doesn‘t like the fact that the third-grade students in elementary schools are asked to write about 25 book summaries a year. "They do the same thing over and over without

really getting into altertnate ways of thinking about books and thinking about reading and writing."

Experts‘ opinions? Some education reformers, such as Howard Gardner, a Harvard University professor, well-known for his theory on multiple intelligence, think that Cohen is on the right track.

But it is often hard to persuade overworked teachers to give much thought to homework tasks.

with homework to do on sundays, when can we find time to help around the house, join in a football or baseball game or see a good film, or just have a rest? because of all these other activities, weekend homework is usually put off until sunday night. as a resuit, it is often done so poorly that on mondays teachers always scold the whole class who have little idea of what the learned lessons are about.

if there were no homework for the weekends, students would go to school on mondays well rested and be willing to study.

If someone asks me:" What's your hobby?" I can answer: "My hobby is listening to English songs”. Some English songs are very good. I like them very much and I am good at singing them. Such as "Sound of Music", "My heart will go on" , "Nobody" and so on. Sometimes I can sing them very well.

I like them, because their lyrics are wonderful. For example "Sound of Music" :"Doe, a deer, a female deer. Ray, a drop of golden sun. Me, a name I call myself..." Oh, how beautiful it is!

The song " My heart will go on" is also very good. "Every night in my dreams, I see you, I feel you..." That's so great. This is my hobby. I like singing English songs. They're so beautiful!

It’s useful and necessary to discuss learning we all know, good learning habits can make your study go to a student,we should pay more attentions to our habits which we develop in our study.

I’m sure “repeat” is a best habit. Do you develop the habit? If we want to improve our study,we should repeat what the teachers taught us again and again, and then we can understand or remember the knowledge which the teachers demand us to to develop the habit? the first step,set a timetable,and stick to carry out the plan,don’t stop.

When I do my homework,I often make mistakes with carelessness,how to overcome the shortage? I think I should think about it over and over as long as I do my then I do it little by e in this way I can correct my mistakes.

I Like Riding Bicycle

When I was very small, I felt so envious to see the children riding bicycle, and I thought they were so cool. So I tried so hard to learn how to ride it. I still remembered the day when I could ride bicycle and I was so proud.

Today, bicycle is still my favorite transportation. On the one hand, I can exercise my body. I ride the bicycle to go to school. It is true that I do have the strong body, because I barely feel sick. On the other hand, riding the bicycle can protect our environment. Bicycle works with our legs instead of the gasoline. The gasoline burns and it lets out the air which can pollute our environment. So taking the bike is a good way to protect our environment.

I think I will continue to keep bike as my favorite transportation.
