Movie is my favorite that I always watch movies when I am free. Since I like English very much, so the English movie is my favorite, too. Among so many films I have watched, the one I like best is High School Musical. This film tells the stories about two high school juniors from rival cliques – Troy Bolton, captain of the basketball team, and Gabriella Montez, a beautiful and shy transfer student who is a hard working girl. in the early morning, my sister went out and brought home a bunch of pretty flowers. right after my mother got up out of bed, we said "happy mother＇s day"! to her and gave her the flowers.

They have very similar temperaments in most ways. lanlan does not get angry easily, enjoys being around people of her own age, finds young children a little irritating, and would rather spend time at a party than in a library. in these respects miaomiao feels the same. but miaomiao likes loud music and modern dances, while lanlan finds that nightclubs give her a headache. miaomiao is always with friends, and is a favorite with all the teachers, whereas lanlan prefers to be alone at times, and does not really try to impress her teachers.

They have tried to live in the same room several times, and even agreed on the color they liked best and the kind of furniture they wanted. but lanlan likes to keep things neat and tidy, while miaomiao acts as if there were a servant around to pick up all the things that get thrown on the floor or over the edge of the chair or into the bathtub. lanlan likes to go to bed early and get up early. in contrast miaomiao does not seem to have any definite habits, often goes to bed very late, and then wants to sleep late the next day when lanlan wants to get the day started.

在批改過上萬份同學們英語作文中，經常能發現一些將中文生硬地翻譯成英文的表達法。有一句話叫做“立志如山，行道如水”，寫英文作文，一定要有決心把它 寫好，有信心把意思表達清楚，這是“立志如山”;但關鍵是遇到問題時要有個靈活的態度，能像流水一樣變通解決問題。有個翻譯界的故事説：在某大型國際會議 的招待會上，一道菜是用雞蛋做的。與會的客人問翻譯:“What is it made of”本來是非常簡單的一個問題，結果翻譯太緊張，忘了“egg”這個詞，但是他急中生智，回答：“It is made of Miss Hen’s son.”這裏，就是一個靈活變通的範例。繞道表達，是寫作中應該常常運用的一種方法。

　　要細心觀察

注意英語中一些表達上的習慣。比如在正式文體的寫作中，很少用 “it isn’t”這樣的略縮形式，而往往是一板一眼地寫作 “it is not”。同理，在正式文體中的日期一般不縮寫，阿拉伯數字一般會用英文表達(特別長的數字除外)。

許多同學在寫作文時，習慣於把“since”“because” “for”這樣的詞放在句首引導原因狀語從句。事實上，在我們見到的英語報刊雜誌文章中，這樣的從句一般都是放在主句之後的。另外, “and”也常常被誤放在一句話的開頭，表示兩個句子之間的並列或遞進關係。其實，經常留心地道的英語文章能發現，如果是並列關係，完全可以不用連詞;如果是遞進關係，用“furthermore” “what is more”更為普遍。

how i spent my summer vacation.

summer can be very hot in southern taiwan where the temperature usually goes up to 32"c or more. because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. also because of this i stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky. actually i like swimming think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. in the summer vacation that has ended i went swimming many times with my classmates we all had a good time. this summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. as a second-year senior student i had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were a year away. in other words, i must find time to study, too. so i divided my time between work play during the summer vacation derived benefit from this arrangement.

i spent this summer vacation in quite a different way. i used to run about every day in previous summer vacations,this summer vacation i simply could not afford to do so. i would soon be in the last year of my high-school education would after graduation be up against the college entrance examinations. though those examinations were still a year away, i had to start early to make myself well prepared by reviewing all those things i had learned at school this summer vacation was the ideal time for me to do this. at first i was rather dismayed at the thought of this,later i thought it was better this way because by working hard this summer i could count on endless happy summers to come. with this in mind i then set to work like anything and occasionally went out for a change or did some physical. i was not at all bored by this kind of life, for i was sustained by a hope.

一、緊扣主題突出重點

動筆之前，針對提示的文字或圖片必須先認真審題，組織內容，構思提綱，理順思路，切忌偏題，離題，東拉西扯，不得要領，一定要避免累贅繁瑣，條理不清，重點不突出的失誤。

二、表達正確文字流暢

強調使用課本上學到過的單詞、詞組、佳句確保文章簡潔通順，切忌使用隨便從文曲星或詞典上找來的冷僻單詞，特別強調的是必須避免使用不規範的中文式表達，受歡迎的作文是用詞用句實實在在，樸實無華，清晰流暢的文章。

三、結構規範時態無誤

準確判斷時態，語態的應用，不能交叉混雜，這部分則能充分反映學生的思維判斷能力，分辨清楚正確的時態、語態將為作文潤色不少。

四、單詞、標點無誤

注意單詞拼寫、標點符號，避免細節上的失誤。錯拼和自造單詞均會對成績造成不良影響。

作文成績在大學聯考中起着至關重要的作用。另外，大學聯考作文要求字數為120個以上，筆者認為控制在150字左右為妥，若字數太少會給人一種考生水平低下，草草了事的感覺，而且也無法表達清楚較深層次的思想。
