what is tolerance? it is the consequence of humanity. we are all formed of frailty and error; let us forgive reciprocally each other’s folly. that is the first law of nature.

no matter what we do, we are always involved with other people, whether we ant to be or not. what we do even alone is affected by other people. from the day we are born, other people touch our lives in almost everything we ’s not just other people who affect us. we affect them as well. think of that shoes in sports. you may by shoes because you have sports so often. you may buy a back pack to carry clothes and other year. by buying these things, you and other sportsmen help to boost business. you help make jobs for shoes makers, salespeople, and many others. and, if you speak loudly, you may spoil someone else’s peace and quiet. if you leave litter, you will spoil the natural beauty of the area.

it is true that we all depend on other people and that we all want to be happy and get on with one another in harmony. never the less, things are not always what we wish them to be. we might have some friction with a member of the family or a quarrel with someone in the neighbourhood. we might get cross with classmates or teachers. we might break relations with our close or distant relatives or break ties with our close friends.

I'm writing to tell you about the discussion we have had about whether an entrance fee should be charged for parks. 60% of us schoolmates think that an entrance fee do not meet people’s expectations, for a park is considered to be a place where the public can have a good time when they are not busy either at home or at work. If an entrance fee must be paid by the visitors for a park, it will be necessary to build a gate and surrounding walls. The city will not look so beautiful as it should have. 40% of us schoolmates think that an entrance fee can be accepted, but it must not be too expensive. The money from ticket selling can be used for paying the gardeners in the park and buying some other kinds of flowers and trees.

With regard to myself, I think an entrance fee is useful, for it can be used to protect a park. Do we share the same opinion, dear editor?

Education plays a very important role in the modernization of our country. however, because of historical factors, there are still a lot of people in china who are undereducated, especially among youngsters in rural areas. they cannot afford the epenses of schooling and need help. at the same time, china is not able to invest too much money in the matter at present time. it is in this particular situation that the authorities carry out the hope project .

This project is necessary to our country. it is an urgent measure that the government has taken. in the first place, this project will provide conditions for the youngsters to go back to school, which will contribute to their future success. thus it will lead to the enhancement of the intelligence level in our country. secondly, education makes it possible for people to acquire knowledge, which is useful to their future work. hence, this project benefits the modernization of our country a lot. finally, it can make more people educated. therefore, it may indirectly result in the increase of the living standards of our people.

Today the crime rate in soe cities of our country is rising. Many citizens often complain about the thefts and robberies that have taken palce in the areas they live in and appeal to the governments at all levels to take effective measures to reduce the crime rate.
