英語語法讓步倒裝句知識點

所謂讓步倒裝，主要指的是由as或though引出的倒裝形式的讓步狀語從句。這類倒裝句置於句首的可以是形容詞、副詞、動詞或名詞等。如：

Successful as [though] he is, he is not proud.

他雖然成功，但不驕傲。

Cold as [though] it was, they went on working.

儘管天氣很冷，他們仍不停地工作。

Much as [though] Id like to, I cant join you for lunch.

儘管我很想，但我不是不能與你們一起吃午飯。

Hard though [as] they tried, they couldnt make her change her mind.

儘管他們做了很大努力，卻沒法讓她改變主意。

Try as [though] he may, he will not pass the examination.

儘管他可能會努力，他不會通過考試。

Search as [though] they would, they would find nobody in the house.

無論怎樣搜查，他們在房子裏仍然沒有找到一個人。

Boy as [though] he was, he behaved like a girl.
