A. 表示祝賀

Congratulations. 祝賀你;祝賀祝賀;恭喜恭喜。

Congratulations on your new job. 祝賀你有了新的工作。

Congratulations on passing the exam. 祝賀你通過了考試。

Congratulations to you all. 祝賀你們大家。

Thank you. 謝謝。

二、使用指南

1. 表示祝賀時，用得最多的兩個詞是congratulate 和 congratulations。使用它們時應注意以下幾點：

(1) congratulate 是動詞，一般要以“人”作賓語，而不以“事”作賓語。若要具體表明是因為某事而祝賀某人，要用介詞 on，即説成 congratulate sb on sth。

(2) congratulation 是名詞，且通常用複數形式。它可以單獨使用，也可在其後接介詞短語來説明是因何事而祝賀(用on)或向誰祝賀(用to)。

(3) congratulate 以及 congratulations 表示祝賀時，可用於成功、獲勝、結婚、畢業以及生日等場合，但一般不用於節日致詞。

2. 中國人以謙虛為美德，面對祝賀時，人們往往回答説“沒什麼”或“哪裏，哪裏”。但在用英語中，人們通常用感謝來回答祝賀。如果要想謙虛一番，可以説 I’m just very lucky (我只是很幸運而已)。
