巧合與必然英語六級作文點評
往年的四、六級寫作出現過幾次圖表作文。這次六級寫作採用了漫畫作文。這似乎是一種全新的形式。
其實，漫畫也罷，圖表也罷，只是換了一個馬甲。漫畫或圖表只是穿針引線，本質上它們和傳統的命題作文沒有任何區別。對這種文章，我們只是在首段中稍微提及漫畫大致內容就可：
As is depicted in the cartoon, the girl, instead of answering her dad directly, tells her father to read her blog when asked about her performance in school.
正如四、六級委員會主任楊慧中在一篇文章中所指出的那樣，“對圖表數據寫得越細緻的考生得分有越低的傾向”，我認為一般考生不宜於對漫畫做過與細緻的描寫。以往的經驗告訴我們，很多初學者可以來幾句籠統的因果分析，卻很難寫幾句具體的描寫，這就是為什麼2004年的'四級作文“描寫一個旅遊景點”被考生視為史上最難得原因。
文章的重點還是主體段落的因果分析。如這次四級作文“過度包裝”的中間部分就可以同時分析這種現象的原因和影響。但這次的六級作文明確要求寫“impact”。大家知道，影響可以有正反之分。其實，這道題和2009年的考研寫作“網絡的近與遠”如出一轍。所不同者：考研作文中的圖畫中我們看到的不是父女對答，而是無數人類都在一張巨大的蛛網上忙碌。可謂異曲同工。其實，四、六級作文與考研題目的巧合遠非這一次。2009年的考研寫作中的書信寫作主題就和2008年四級作文“On Disposable Products”完全相同。
某種程度上，巧合是一種必然。
2011年12月四、六級寫作主題“Strong Will Is the Key to Success” 就是新東方四級寫作教材第十三篇範文“The Way to Success”。這次的六級考試作文題目又和新東方四級教材第三十篇範文“The Internet”完全相同。一下是教材原文：
Owing to the speedy economic development, the number of people who use the Internet has considerably increased. It is universally acknowledged that the Internet plays a crucial role in modern society.
Due attention has to be paid to the issue of the Internet. With the reform and opening-up in recent decades, people in mounting numbers have come to realize the significance of the Internet. Unfortunately, if we let this situation continue as it is, we do not know where humans will be in the forthcoming future.
Accordingly, it is imperative for us to take drastic measures. To begin with, we should appeal to the authorities to make strict laws to control the Internet. In addition, we should cultivate the awareness of people that the Internet is essential to us. Only in this way can we solve the problem.
當然這篇文章有它的缺憾：空洞。但空洞的文章也有一個“好處”：稍加增減就可以“變身”為一篇同樣題材的新作。實際上，這篇文章字數138，作為六級作文字數稍短。增加一點網絡交流的影響就是一篇高分作文。那麼，增加什麼呢？這很簡單。在我們的課堂中，會分門別類的介紹各種題材的相關內容。如科技類話題的：Instead of waiting weeks for a letter, we can “talk” with our friends at every corner of the world thanks to the advent of the Internet. Unfortunately, while facilitating communication, this new invention also alienates people because, when we are attracted by the virtual world, we are likely to be left with less time to stay with people in the real world.
這樣的觀點，不僅討論“網絡交流”可以用，考到其他科技話題也可以用。這樣，當我們就各種主題都積累一些材料以後，考題的“巧合”就成為“必然”。
