二、表不同意的英語口語

I'm afraid not. *用於雖然對方也許不想聽，或者不相信，但不得不説No（不）時。這是一種委婉的否定表達方式，含有表示同情對方的心情。

No, I'm afraid not. （很遺憾，好像不是。）
I'm afraid so. *這句話的意思是“很遺憾是這樣”、“很遺憾是這麼回事”。
最好不要。
I'd rather you didn't. *I'd rather…not表示“如果可以的話，我不想……”、“如果可以的話我想拒絕……”、“如果允許的話我想推辭……”。I'd rather是I would rather的縮寫形式，用於婉轉地拒絕對方的建議時。
