The money from ticket selling can be used for paying the gardeners in the park and buying some other kinds of flowers and trees.

The other day my brother and I went to the cinema by bicycle. My brother was riding with me sitting on the seat behind. As we came to the crossroads a young man and a girl came up and stopped us. ‘We‘ve found you at long last,’ they said. But we didn’t know them. My name is Li Hua. I was born in Dalian, Liaoning province in February 1977. I started school in 1984 when I was seven. I studied in Guangming Primary School from 1984 to 1990. After that I went to No.62 Middle School of Dalian and graduated this summer. The main subjects I studied at school included Chinese, maths, English, physics, chemistry and computer. My parents live in the country. They keep a dog called Ah Fu. One day my parents went to work in the fields taking my little sister and Ah Fu along. While they were working, my sister walked to a river nearby. Ah Fu followed her there. She was trying to pick a flower when she fell into the river. Ah Fu barked and jumped into the water immediately. When my parents heard Ah Fu barking they ran to the river They saw Ah Fu swimming towards the bank carrying my little sister. My parents praised Ah Fu warmly. It was our brave Ah Fu who had saved my little sister.

It was Grandma‘s birthday . Father , Mother and I went to visit her. She lives with my uncle in a village not too far away. Early in the morning we bought some presents and took the bus to get there.

Grandma and Uncle were so glad to see gave the presents to Grandma and she was very happy. Then we sat down to talk, while Uncle went to prepare lunch . The meal was so nice that we all enjoyed it very much. At 4 o’clock, we said goodbye and set off for home.

Sun Shuwei, a world champion in diving, is a boy of 14 from Guangdong. He loved swimming when he was a small boy and at eight he became a member of the diving team in Guangdong Province. He studied hard at school and trained hard for five years before he came to the national team. A year later in 1990, he won a gold medal at the 11th Asian Games and became a world champion at the 6th World Swimming Championships early this year.

Until 1988 Zhang Ge Zhuang had no school of its own. It was pretty hard for the children of the village who had to go to school in other villages which were all far away. Now Zhang Ge Zhuang Primary School has three teachers, teaching 48 pupils. The teachers had finished middle school education before they returned to teach here. On the way home, Mathilde found that the necklace was gone. She was frightened to death because it was too expensive for her. She and her husband hurriedly returned and looked wherever she had been that night, but couldn't find it at all.

I am the only child in my family, nowadays, people have the bad impression on the only child, they think the only child is spoiled by the parents, so they get bad temper and count on the parents so much. While I am not one of them, my parents are very strict to me, they never spoil me, when I make the mistake, they will tell me what the result will be which is caused by my mistake, so that I know I do the wrong thing and won’t do that again. My parents pay special attention to my independence, they will ask me to do the thing alone, sometimes they only teach me how to finish, but never give me a hand. self-confidence, as is approved by research and practice, has an amazingly powerful influence on the output of people’s activities. patients who believe that they’ll recover soon generally cures faster than those who think they won’t. students with optimistic characters usually provide better performance, even if they work the same hard as others. although someone may regard such conclusion as superstitious, it does take place everyday and everywhere. neural scientists have discovered that, when a man feels confident, his brain will secrete some kinds of hormone that boost brain activity and improve the efficiency of his immune system. in contrast, a melancholic brain is suppressed by other chemicals and cannot fully ehibit its potential.

to help building up self-confidence, you can take the following two steps. first, identify your merits and value them. if you constantly compare your weakness to others’ advantages, you’d only gain frustration rather than confidence. second, track every little progress you’ve made and review them frequently. you may not possibly become perfectly successful in one day, but if only you can see yourself growing gradually, surely you’re on the right way. there’re also other methods making you more confident that depend on yourself to find out, and they’re all necessary elements to make you more competitive in your area.

I bet most of you guys have come across such situation, when you go shopping and buy something, you find there is something wrong with the product after you buy it, you want the manager to compensate for you, but the manager refuse to. Though you are angry, there is nothing you can do. As a consumer, we need to protect our rights, when we find the products are not conformed with specifications, we have the right to ask for compensation. The consumers’ rights are legal and protected by the laws, March 15 is International Day for Consumers’ Rights and Interests, it pays special attention to the consumers, it reminds consumers of their rights. If consumers find the shops are cheating customers, they can call the police and protect their rights. So when we buy products, we need to have the conscious that our consumers’ rights are protected by law.

Thorough Understanding of Oneself

in all ones life time it is oneself that one spends the most time being with or dealing with. but it is precisely oneself that one has the least understanding of. when you are going upwards in life you tend to overestimate yourself. it seems that everything you seek for is within your reach; luck and opportunities will come your way and you are overjoyed that they constitute part of your worth. when you are going downhill you tend to underestimate yourself, mistaking difficulties and adversities for your own incompetence. it’s likely that you think it wise for yourself to know your place and stay aloof from worldly wearing a mask of cowardice, behind which the flow of sap in your life will be retarded.

to get a thorough understanding of oneself is to gain a correct view of oneself and be a sober realist -- aware of both one’s strength and shortage. you may look forward hopefully to the future but be sure not to epect too much, for ideals can never be fully realized. you may be courageous to meet challenges but it should be clear to you where to direct your efforts. that’s to way so long as you have a perfect knowledge of yourself there won’t be difficulties you can’t overcome, nor obstacles you can’t get a thorough understanding of oneself needs selfappreciation. whether you liken yourself to a towering tree or a blade of grass, whether you think you are a high mountain or a small stone, you represent a state of nature that has its own raison deter. if you earnestly admire yourself you’ll have a real sense of self-appreciation, which will give you confidence. as soon as you gain full confidence in yourself you’ll be enabled to fight and overcome any adversity.

to get a thorough understanding of oneself also requires doing oneself a favor when it’s needed. in time of anger, do yourself a favor by giving vent to it in a quiet place so that you wont be hurt by its flames; in time of sadness, do yourself a favor by sharing it with your friends so as to change a gloomy mood into a cheerful one; in time of tiredness, do yourself a favor by getting a good sleep or taking some tonic. show yourself loving concern about your health and daily life. as you are aware, what a person physically has is but a human body that’s vulnerable when eposed to the elements. so if you fall ill, it’s up to you to take a good care of yourself. unless you know perfectly well when and how to do yourself a favor, you won’t be confident and ready enough to resist the attack of illness.

to get a thorough understanding of oneself is to get a full control of one’s life. then one will find one’s life full of color and flavor.

As everyone knows, stress is a natural part of everyday life and there is no way to avoid it. As the pace of modern life continues to increase, we are always feeling on the go from morning till night. And it is hard to slow down. Therefore, stress goes hand in hand with the life in a competitive society.

Different people, however, think of stress quite differently. Some believe that stress is not the bad thing it is often supposed to be. They are of the opinion that a certain amount of stress is vital to provide motivation and give purpose to life. Others argue that stress contributes to one’s mental decline and hence endangers his health. According to them, relaxation, the opposite of stress, is essential for a healthy mind and body.

Personally, I’m in favor of the former view. I think it is impossible to avoid stress when one is entirely devoted to the career he pursues. In my opinion, it is only when the stress gets out of control that it can lead to poor performance and ill health.
