十、日記
寫日記的格式
When we write a diary we should pay attention to:
格式：
一般是在左上角記上當天的日期、星期，時間的排列順序與書信一致，星期寫在日期前後都可以，星期與日期之間不需要使用標點符號但要空一格，星期也可以省略；右上角寫上當天的天氣情況，表示天氣情況的形容詞，如：fine（晴朗的.），cold （寒冷的），snowy（下雪的），sunny（晴朗的），rainy（多雨的），cloudy（陰天的）等。日記的小標題寫在下一行，也可省略不寫。
時態：
寫日記的時間一般是下午或晚上，有時也可以在第二天補寫。因此,日記中所記述的事情通常發生在過去，常用一般過去時；但當記述天氣、描寫景色或展望未來時，可以用一般現在時或一般將來時。

英語應用文寫作指導
應用文就是指人們在日常生活、工作和學習中經常運用的文體，包括書信、電子郵件、通知、日記等。
一、通 知
通知是傳達信息、佈置工作、召開會議所使用的一種文體。在英語裏有口頭通知和書面通知兩種。
通知一般包括三個要素：①時間；②地點；③活動內容。通知要求簡練、用詞貼切。通知的具體格式如下：
1. 標題：在正文上面正中的地方寫上NOTICE。
2. 正文：説明通知的具體時間、地點、活動內容和注意事項。
3. 單位：發通知的單位一般寫在正文的右下角。
4. 時間：發通知的時間一般寫在正文的左下角。
實例解析
請以下面內容寫一則通知：
學校定於6月23日14點30分在學校操場舉行畢業典禮。請同學們穿好校服，按時參加。 分析指導 寫這個通知時,只要按照提示寫清時間、地點和主要的事就可以了。 參考範文
二、便條
便條多用於同事或朋友之間臨時通知或詢問某事，包括留言條、請假條等。便條格式近似於書信，一般由稱呼、正文、署名、日期等組成。
寫便條應注意以下幾個方面：
1. 日期：要寫在右上角，便條的日期要寫出月、日。
2. 稱呼：稱呼應寫在第二行，要左起頂格寫。便條的稱呼較為隨便，如：Dear Mom, Liu Jun等。
3. 正文：正文應另起一行寫。用詞要簡明扼要。
4. 署名：署名要寫在右下角，一般只寫留條人的姓名。
實例解析 （2008 遼寧省十二市會考題）
Tony明天和父母去度假，他給朋友李雷留言。請求李雷幫助照顧一下他的家。內容包括：打掃房間，照看寵物，澆澆花等等。開頭結尾已給出，不計詞數。
