直譯的常見誤區（5種）

有時候能讀懂句子，不一定代表能把它很好地翻譯出來。在實際翻譯過程中，由於中英文的語言差異、表達習慣不同，需要對譯文進行一些處理，以期更符漢語的表達習慣。下面為大家整理了直譯的常見誤區，希望大家避免!

　　一、否定句型中的直譯誤區

英語中有一些不同的否定句型，其中有一些句型不能完全採用直譯法進行翻譯，否則，就會造成誤譯，甚至與原意背道而馳，下列幾種否定句型值得注意：

1. 部分否定句型，這種句型不同於漢語的思維形式

I do not know all of them.

誤：對他們我都不認識。

正：對他們我不是個個都認識。

All the answers are not right.

誤：所有答案都不對。

正：答案並非全對。

Every body wouldn't like it.

誤：每個人都不會喜歡它。

正：並不是每上人都會喜歡它。

2. 單一否定中的部分句型

It is a long lane that had no turning.

誤：那是一條沒有彎的長巷。

正：無論多長的巷也有彎的地方(路必有彎，事必有變)。

It is a wise man that never makes mistakes.

誤：聰明人從不犯錯誤。

正：無論怎樣聰明的人也難免犯錯誤。

We cannot estimate the value of modern science too much.

誤：我們不能過高地估計現代科學的價值。

正：對現代科學的價值無論如何重視也不過分。

It was not until years afterwards that he heard of Semmelweis.

誤：沒過幾年他就聽到了Semmelweis的消息。

正：直到數年之後他才聽到Semmelweis的消息。

　　二、長句直譯的誤區

在較長的英語句子中存在着比較複雜的關係，很難按原則順序用一句漢語表達出來，這就要根據英文句子的特點和內在聯繫進行意譯，不能直譯的長句主要有三種處理方法。

1. 根據句子內在的邏輯關係和漢語的表達習慣進行翻譯。例如：

There are advantages to underground life, too, and something to be said for imaging whole cities, even mankind generally, moving downward, of having the outermost mile of the Earth's crust honeycombed with passage and strue-ture, like a gigantic ant hill.

這是一個倒裝句，表示設想條件與結果關係，按這一關係來譯比直譯好：家似的建築物，一座座城市都遷入地下，甚至全人類都遷入地下生活，這也會給人類帶來很多好處。

這個句子並不複雜，但不好譯。這個句子有三層關係，比較、條件和結果，按這種邏輯關係翻譯就十分省事。

同今天地面城市裏的居民相比，新洞穴裏的居民如果在比較健康的生態環境中生活，會有更多的機會見到青枝綠葉。

2、有些長句需要直譯與意譯結合，順譯與遞譯結合，需要綜合處理。

這個句子的主句部分可以意譯，從句部分可直譯。
